I was enamored with the landscape of île d’Orléans, just north of Old Quebec City.
I was struck by the loneliness and solitude of the farmscapes. Often was most present was what was missing. This series captures the beauty of the landscape and solitude of the farmland.

Twood Love

Twood Love(?) is the second in my series of sculptural Twoods. The "(?)" is included because of the inherent ambiguity embedded in this piece: Are these figures affectionate or combative? Are they submissive or defiant? Is one male, is the other female?
All of these questions must be answered by the person viewing the piece. Everyone has a unique take which I take great delight in hearing.
I love the energy created with the "negative space" that exists between the figures. It holds so much in its absence and gives the piece a palpable sense of tension.
